Mario Party DS: DK Stone Statue

I played the DS version of Mario Party, which is an aggravating game whether you are playing against your friends or the computers. This a game where you want to get as many stars as possible while playing against others through the map and mini games that happen at the end of each round. Theis one is different because it uses that specs of the DS. Many mini games either require the mic or the stylus, making the minge games more unique. Mario party has a very stylized art style. It is 3d art with vibrant colors, which is the style that Nintendo has created for Mario since the beginning.

The layout of this level is one big circle with some paths that lead to other parts of the circle. As seen above, the main circle is the most outside path. The other paths are shortcuts, along with other shortcuts that you have to land on in order to use. This level also has many spots of which you earn money in order to buy the star. This map also has many spots that give you items, with even one spot in the beginning that will always give you an item, this is because it automatically stops you like a shop.

Pros. This circle makes it great and easy to know where you are going as you will direct you into one path. As mentioned above, the spot in the beginning that will give you an item is great. It is an easy way to get the game started because each item it gives screws over the other people. It is a great way to introduce the chaos that is Mario Party
Cons. The star does not move. On many other maps, the stars moves after it is bought. In this map, the star stays in one place, which would make sense the map is small, but that is not a good enough excuse. As it is a circle, the star should move around the circle at least. The two shortcuts at the top of the map that need to landed on are in very inconvenient placements. Very little was I able to land on the shortcut. While most of these cons are because of random chance, it is still a worthy con.
